ADHD is commonly associated with hyperactivity, impulsiveness, and difficulty maintaining attention. Many children showing attention challenges may also have underlying functional vision problems that affect focus, eye tracking, and visual processing.
Symptoms may include short attention span, difficulty concentrating, excessive movement, interrupting conversations, or struggling with reading and near tasks. Because visual disorders can mimic ADHD-like behaviours, a Functional Vision Evaluation is important to determine whether visual efficiency is contributing to the problem.
Vision therapy does not treat ADHD itself, but it can significantly improve visual tracking, focusing stability, and visual processing skills - helping children perform better in learning and daily activities when vision-related issues are present.
