Yes. Online consultations are ₹1,000 to ₹1,500 and in-clinic consultations are ₹1,500 to ₹2,000. The difference reflects what each can actually do: an online consultation covers history, symptom analysis, review of existing reports and a written recommendation, while an in-clinic assessment adds hands-on diagnostic testing of eye teaming, focusing and tracking that cannot be performed over video. For a first opinion or a progress review, online is often sufficient; for a diagnosis that will drive a treatment programme, in-clinic is the appropriate starting point.

Because session count varies by diagnosis, and a number quoted before an examination would be a guess. A mild convergence insufficiency and a post-concussion neuro-visual rehabilitation programme differ by roughly a factor of three in sessions required. The consultation fee is published upfront; the programme estimate is issued in writing after we have measured what your case actually needs, and that written estimate is what you are charged.

The assessment is charged at the standard consultation fee of ₹1,000 to ₹2,000. The programme that follows is priced by the number of sessions the eye actually needs, which is influenced by the child's age, the depth of the amblyopia at baseline, and whether there is an accompanying squint or binocular vision problem. Younger children with mild amblyopia typically need shorter programmes. You receive the written estimate after the baseline assessment.

Squint surgery in India is a single large one-off cost plus theatre, anaesthesia and follow-up; vision therapy is spread across weekly sessions over several months. Our consultation is ₹1,000-2,000, and Indian programme costs are a fraction of the US equivalent - at the same FCOVD/FOVDR-certified clinical standard, because the credentialling is international even though the pricing is local. For NRI and international families, the total including travel is often still well below completing a programme abroad.

Home exercises alone (such as pencil push-ups) have been tested in randomised controlled trials and shown to be significantly less effective than in-clinic therapy. The Convergence Insufficiency Treatment Trial found 73% success for in-office therapy versus 33% for home exercises alone. Apps have no clinical evidence base for treating binocular vision disorders.
