Vision Therapy in Hyderabad
FCOVD/FOVDR Certified – In-Clinic & Telehealth

Caring Vision Therapy's Jubilee Hills centre is the FCOVD/FOVDR-certified clinical hub for Hyderabad and Telangana – treating lazy eye, squint, convergence insufficiency, myopia, and neuro-visual conditions for children and adults. In-clinic appointments and secure telehealth are both available, with the same certified specialists.

Telangana's FCOVD/FOVDR-Certified Vision Therapy Centre

Hyderabad's HITEC City corridor places some of the most sustained near-vision demands in India on its population. Professionals across Madhapur, Kondapur, and Gachibowli routinely spend 8–10 hours on screens. Children in Hyderabad's schools carry heavy study loads with competitive academic pressure. And the city's medical community regularly encounters neurological cases – stroke, TBI – where visual rehabilitation is a critical but often overlooked component of recovery.

Caring Vision Therapy's Jubilee Hills clinic is the only FCOVD/FOVDR-certified vision therapy centre in Telangana. We assess and treat the binocular vision conditions that standard ophthalmology and routine optometry do not address: convergence insufficiency, accommodative dysfunction, lazy eye, functional squint, myopia progression, and neuro-visual deficits. Both in-clinic and telehealth formats are available for all programmes.

Hyderabad Patients We Commonly Treat

Tech Sector Professionals

Professionals from the HITEC City belt with persistent headaches, eye strain, or blurred near vision that a new prescription has not resolved. When symptoms track with screen hours rather than distance, the cause is binocular – not refractive. Convergence and accommodative dysfunction are the most common diagnoses in this group.

Children with Learning-Related Vision Problems

Children whose school eye test came back clear but who struggle to sustain reading, lose their place in text, or are flagged for attention difficulties. Binocular vision problems are frequently the cause – invisible to standard screening, fully treatable with vision therapy. A proper assessment before accepting an attention diagnosis is strongly recommended.

Neurological & Post-Stroke Patients

Patients discharged after stroke, TBI, or other neurological events who continue to experience double vision, field loss, or difficulty with spatial navigation. Neuro-optometric rehabilitation addresses the visual component of neurological recovery – an area that standard physiotherapy and occupational therapy do not cover.

Vision Therapy FAQ – Hyderabad

Where is the Caring Vision Therapy clinic in Hyderabad, and which areas does it serve?
Our Hyderabad clinic is in Jubilee Hills, accessible from HITEC City, Madhapur, Kondapur, Banjara Hills, Gachibowli, and Secunderabad within reasonable travel. All programmes are also available via secure telehealth for patients across Hyderabad and Telangana who prefer not to travel or whose schedule makes in-clinic attendance difficult.
I work in the tech sector in Hyderabad and get persistent headaches after 5–6 hours on screen. My prescription was updated but headaches continue. What could this be?
Prescription updates correct refractive error but do not fix binocular vision dysfunction. If headaches persist after a new prescription – particularly if they track with screen hours rather than appearing first thing in the morning – the cause is likely convergence insufficiency or accommodative dysfunction. These are binocular vision problems requiring specialist assessment. A standard refraction will not detect them; a binocular vision assessment will. If confirmed, vision therapy is the correct treatment.
My child's teacher has flagged attention difficulties at school. Could this be a vision problem?
This is a significant possibility and worth investigating before pursuing an attention diagnosis. Binocular vision problems – particularly convergence insufficiency – share several presentations with attention deficit: difficulty sustaining reading, losing place on the page, and distractibility during close-work tasks. These symptoms are visual in origin. A binocular vision assessment either confirms or rules out a visual cause clearly. Ruling this out before an attention pathway prevents a misattributed diagnosis and the wrong treatment.
Can squint be treated without surgery in Hyderabad?
For intermittent and accommodative squints, yes – vision therapy is frequently effective without surgery. For constant squints, the answer depends on the type, severity, and underlying cause. Our assessment will tell you clearly what is treatable with vision therapy alone, what is best treated with surgery first and vision therapy after, and what requires surgery as the primary intervention. We do not recommend surgery that is not indicated, and we do not avoid it when it is the right choice.
My child is 9 and their myopia is progressing quickly. What are the options for myopia management in Hyderabad?
Active myopia management for a 9-year-old is strongly advisable if progression is confirmed. Options include orthokeratology (night lenses worn during sleep, no daytime correction needed), MiSight daily contact lenses, and low-dose atropine eye drops – each with evidence for slowing axial elongation. The right choice depends on the rate of progression, corneal profile, and family preference. Orthokeratology and MiSight fitting require in-clinic visits at our Jubilee Hills centre; ongoing management can be via telehealth.
